WINONA LAKE - Kosciusko Silent No More has announced it will give the Winona Lake candidates a night to share their vision and goals for the town.
The group will host a forum April 25 at 7 p.m. at Winona Lake Senior Center.
Dr. Michael Harstine will moderate the event. Seating is limited, and on a first-come first-serve basis. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
All candidates have been formally invited, including Dan Daggett and Philip Hood (District1); Terry Howie and John Boal (District 2); Bruce Shaffner and Jerry Nelson (District 3); Sue Gooding and Greg Winn (District 4); Randy Swanson and Ron Shavers (District 5); and Kent Adams and Retha Hicks for clerk-treasurer.
Monica Boyer, co-founder of Kosciusko County Silent No More, and Jim Heierman, vice president, are asking people to get involved and make their voices heard.
Boyer is asking people from the community to e-mail their questions to board@kosciuskosilentnomore.com
The questions will be randomly chosen.
"It's very important for people to have a voice in our local political system," Boyer said. "This election will have a great impact on our city and the direction that we head in this tough economic time we live in. It's time for Winona Lake to get involved."
