School has started but that doesn’t need to mean straight rows, paper, pencils and silence. At Lakeview Middle School, Angie Kleopfer’s classes are using sidewalk chalk as one tool for formative assessment. Students in the math classes have worked on order of operations during the week in class and now they are showing what they know by displaying their work on the sidewalks and parking lots at Lakeview.
