Shriners Donate Van to Beaman Home

Posted

Recently, the Mizpah Shrine Club, Fort Wayne, donated a 2006 Ford Econoline Van to The Beaman Home.  The van was originally used by the Mizpah Shrine Club to transport children to Shriners Hospitals throughout the Midwest. It will now be used to support the programs and services of Kosciusko County Shelter for Abuse Inc. (better known as The Beaman Home). ‘We are so grateful to the Mizpah Shriners for their generosity in donating the van to support our programs. As many know, public transportation in our county is limited, and many of the victimized families we serve have no transportation. The van will allow us to have more flexibility in programming and case management, as we'll be able to transport more clients for activities – both educational and recreational – outside of our Emergency Shelter,’ said Tracie Hodson, executive director of The Beaman Home.
