ETNA GREEN – The 20th annual Shrine Turkey Shoot is planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 14-15 at Beeson’s Gun Range, south of Etna Green (just off Crystal Lake Road).
Over the years, thousands of local sportsmen and their families have supported the Kosciusko County Shrine Club in raising thousands of dollars to support multiple missions for Kosciusko County, according to the club.
The Kosciusko County Shrine Club, which is celebrating 78 years of existence, is best-known for the annual trip for third-graders to the Shrine Circus. The group supports many other local and national philanthropic organizations.
The public is welcome to attend the turkey shoot.
Participants may come for a shoot, or a sportsmen’s Silent auction. They may bring a gun, or the club can provide one. Shells are provided.
There will be opportunities to shoot for Maple Leaf Farms duck, Serenade Foods chicken, Walmart turkeys or cash. Children, age 14 and under may shoot a .410 to win a .410 provided by Brett Anderson and family.
Donations for the silent auction are still being accepted; call 574-527-5351 to help.
