Shotgun Merit Badges were earned by members of Troop 715 recently. The Clinic for Shotgun Merit Badge was presented by Jim Gast of the Kosciusko Conservation and Sportsman Club. Several hours were spent in the classroom discussing the types and different gauges of shotguns. Also discussed were the different types of shells and what each was used for, plus all the safety aspects associated with the handling of a gun before the Scouts were taken out to the shooting range. Attending the clinic were Scouts Nicholas Hawn, Vincent Johnston, Trent and Cameron Sumwalt, Aaron Jones, Rex Grissom, Landon and Wyatt Slone, Rob Morehouse, Jordan Friddle, Tyler Ingle, Justin Lee, Jordan Timbers and Austin Whitaker. Pictured (L to R) are Slone shooting, Gast, and Lee, Morehouse, Hawn and Timbers waiting for their turns.
