A neighborhood is in shock following the murder of one of its own Wednesday evening.

Lisa Heather Mora, 32, was pronounced dead on arrival at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after allegedly being shot several times by her husband, Omar Mora.

The shooting occurred at the couple's 1844 Vicky Lane home located in The Country subdivision. The Country is a small subdivision off CR 175E, east of U.S. 30 on the east side of Warsaw.

According to neighbors, Omar Mora was well-known and well-liked in the community.

"He was a nice guy," neighbor Doug Wise said. "He was the sort of guy that if he had only five bucks in his pocket he'd give it to you if you needed it."

Mora was employed by R-Vision Inc., more commonly known in the area as Trail-Lite.

According to Wise, Mora ran plant 7 at R-Vision.

"Everybody knows Omar," Wise said. "They were a super nice family."

Neighbors said Omar was active in the community and even installed speed bumps in the neighborhood for The Country Homeowners Association.

Lisa Mora also was well-liked by neighbors.

"She was a wonderful woman who loved her kids," one neighbor said.

Now The Country is dealing with the fact one of its own is dead and another is wanted by police.

Mora is wanted not only for the alleged murder of his wife but also is a suspect in the shooting death of Warsaw resident Harpal Singh.

Singh was gunned down outside the laundromat at the East Center Street Phillips 66 station he managed, shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police reports indicate Mora shot Singh, then drove to his home where he shot his wife in front of their two boys, ages 2 and 7, and his mother-in-law.

Police believe an apparent motive in the shootings may have been that Mora discovered his wife and Singh were having an affair.
