Shooting Threat Brings Intimidation Charge

A Warsaw man was charged with intimidation after allegedly threatening to shoot people at his wife's workplace Wednesday morning.

Lorne Keith McNees, 35, of 4330 Old Ind. 15N, was later released from the Kosciusko County Jail after posting $500 bond.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, McNees and his wife, Jaria, had gotten into an argument before she left for work Wednesday morning. McNees reportedly placed a gun on a table and told his wife that he'd see her later at work. A police report noted Mrs. McNees told her husband that her employer would press charges against him if he showed up there, and he allegedly replied, "Not if they're dead."

McNees then reportedly followed his wife to work and parked at a location down the street from the Milford business where she is employed. Another employee noticed McNees parked there and asked Mrs. McNees why her husband was there.

Jaria McNees then told her co-worker about the alleged threat and the matter was reported to plant officials. The business was locked down until police arrived.

By that time, McNees had returned home, where police located and questioned him. He reportedly admitted making the statements his wife said he made. McNees also told police he has a bad temper and feelings of jealousy.

It is not known whether McNees had a gun with him when he was parked near the Milford business.
