Shoe Carnival Coming to Warsaw Commons Development

Posted
Shoe Carnival is one of four retail stores that will be coming to Warsaw.

During Monday night’s Warsaw City Council meeting, Warsaw City Planner Jeremy Skinner said the business signed a lease with developer Thompson-Thrift last week.

Shoe Carnival will be joined by stores previously reported to be in the retail center including T.J. Maxx, Ulta Beauty and PetSmart.

The stores are part of  82,000 square feet of retail space being developed north of Kohl’s. The development is being termed “Warsaw Commons.”

Construction on the project began the end of December, and the project is expected to be completed by this fall, Skinner said.

Skinner said there are still two outlots available that would be appropriate for a restaurant and one for a boutique. Leases have not been signed for those at this point, Skinner said.

In November, Warsaw City Council approved issuing a bond not to exceed $1.4 million for the development of the commercial property.
