I just read the article about Ruth Anne's death and I was shocked. I didn't know her as well as the staffers on the Times-Union, but I chatted with her at many board meetings that we attended while I was working as a correspondent. She was always friendly to me and willing to give me tips which I gratefully accepted since she had a lot more experience covering meetings than I did.
I don't know her family so I would like to express my deepest sympathy to her other family; the people who worked with her on a daily basis at the Times Union.
