Shirley A. Taylor, 74, of Indianapolis, died July 27, 2012, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

She was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Oakland City, to Creedes Earl and Edna Mae Romine Walton. On April 20, 1955, in Warsaw, she married Phillip E. Taylor, who died June 6, 1986.

Moving to Indianapolis from Warsaw in 1961, she was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church, Indianapolis. She enjoyed Bingo, Goofy Golf, traveling and shopping. She was a sweetie of a mom and a good sister.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Taylor, Brazil, Ind.; a granddaughter, Tabitha Sigman, Brazil; two grandsons,  Dirk Daffron, Cayuga, and Emory Fleener, Martinsville; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Young, Brazil, Ind.; two sisters, Delma Young, Hudson, Fla., and Barbara Sue Vickers, Wauchula, Fla.; and two brothers, Charles D. (and spouse Dawn) Walton, Mentone, and Ronald L. Walton, Indianapolis. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, LaVaughn Miller and Ruth Evelyn Weeks, and two infant brothers.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
