SYRACUSE – Shirley A. Hewitt, 73, of Syracuse, passed away at 4:49 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019, in North Webster.
She was born on July 17, 1945, in Goshen, to Charles Edward and Mary Elizabeth Strieby Hewitt.
She was a lifetime area resident and attended New Paris and Syracuse schools.
She retired in January 2002 from Chore Time Brock in Milford after 33 years in production. She formerly attended the Baptist and Zion churches in Syracuse.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Miller of Syracuse; brother, Frederick Hewitt Sr. of North Webster; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Hewitt.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, at the funeral home, with Pastor Myron Drent of the Country Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow at the North Webster Cemetery.
