Sheriff's Youth Leadership Camp In July

Sheriff W.R. Goshert announced that the 28th annual Indiana Sheriff's Youth Leadership Camp will be in July again this year. There will be two camp sessions: July 12-14 at Waycross Episcopal Camp in Morgantown in Brown County, and July 16-18 at Ross Camp in West Lafayette in Tippecanoe County.

The Sheriff's Youth Leadership Camp is a program provided by the Indiana Sheriff's Association for boys and girls who currently are in the seventh or eighth grade and are interested in learning more about a possible career in law enforcement. The camp provides a meaningful experience and relationship with other campers throughout the state and sheriff's officers who serve as instructors.

Any boy or girl in seventh or eighth grade who is interested in attending the camp should contact the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office for an application and more information. The sheriff announced that arrangements probably can be made to provided the camp registration fee through a local business or civic organization.
