Editor, Times-Union: The point of this letter is to simply remind you that this is the year that Kosciusko County will elect a new sheriff. Sheriff Rocky Goshert has served two consecutive terms and, by law, is not allowed to seek re-election. Aaron Rovenstine won the Republican nomination in the May primary and will represent the Republican Party in the November election. I have known Aaron virtually my entire law enforcement career, both personally and professionally. As fellow police officers, we served as chief of police and sheriff, respectively. During the time of our friendship and our professional relationship, I have not known any other officer or individual that I would rather have as your sheriff. As the campaign season progresses, I would like to ask that you seriously consider supporting Aaron in his quest to be the next sheriff of Kosciusko County. I sincerely believe that your vote would be an effort well spent and would guarantee that Kosciusko County will continue to enjoy strong and effective law enforcement for its citizens. Steve C.
