Sheriff’s Office Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19A Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office employee, who was asymptomatic, has tested positive for COVID-19.
That’s according to Sgt. Chris Francis, KCSO public information officer, Friday afternoon.
“Because of HIPAA restrictions, we cannot release the name,” Francis said. “The necessary quarantine procedures have been followed.”
Francis said the sheriff’s office will continue to follow the precautionary measures that were enacted as a result of COVID-19 and that additional sanitary safeguards were immediately taken.
“This is something we’re taking very seriously,” Francis said.
Teresa Reed, Kosciusko County Health Department communicable disease nurse, said right now there is no testing happening to inmates lodged in the Kosciusko County Jail.
