Sheriff Issues Warning After Makeshift Bombs Found In Marshall County Mailboxes

Posted
Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert issued a warning Wednesday about possible makeshift bombs being left in or near mailboxes.

The warning comes after two incidents in Marshall County that were investigated by Indiana State Police.

Authorities described the items as improvised explosive devices. Both were found in mailboxes and nobody was injured, according to a news release from the ISP.

Goshert issued a reminder Wednesday that if anyone notices a suspicious package or device to avoid handling it and to contact local police.

ISP is asking that anyone with information on either of these incidents call the ISP Bremen Post at 574-546-4900 and speak to Troopers Michael Gruett or Brian Hoffman.
