Departing Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert was recognized by the county council this morning for his 30 years in law enforcement. Goshert, who will be succeeded as sheriff by Capt. Aaron Rovenstine, received a lifetime award from the Indiana Sheriff Association during its conference in Indianapolis last week. Rovenstine presented him the plaque during the commissioners meeting this morning. Goshert’s law enforcement career began when he joined the Indiana State Police in 1980. He then joined the sheriff’s department as a deputy in 2001.
