Mrs. Garber’s class from Pierceton Elementary School recently made a $100 donation to The Whitley County Humane Shelter. This grant was awarded to her students because they learned about philanthropy from high school students representing the Hands Foundation. Garber’s class voted to give the money to homeless dogs and cats. Stacy and Custer (the dog) graciously accepted this donation on behalf of the other dogs and cats.
