Sharon L. Vogelsang, 79, of LaPorte, died at 7:25 p.m. Jan. 28, 2012, in Indiana University Health LaPorte Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1932, in Middlebury, to Morris and Lois Hershberger Buchtel. On Jan. 11, 1953, in Middlebury, she married Clifford L. Miller, who died Jan. 9, 1969. On Aug. 4, 1973, in Michigan City, she married John D. Vogelsang, who died Aug. 22, 2006.
Surviving are 10 children, including Lisa (and spouse Jim) Buyer, Syracuse; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson and two sisters.
Cremation will take place and the burial of ashes will be private.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ott-Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City.
