Sharon Kay Phend, 66, Pierceton, died at 8:10 p.m. Oct. 14, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Elkhart, to Harold J. and Edna Marie May Nettrouer. On Aug. 12, 1994, in Warsaw, she married Michael Eugene Phend, who survives in Pierceton.
Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, she graduated from Pierceton High School, Class of 1965. She was employed as an inspector and auditor for Biomet Inc., Warsaw, since 2001.
Also surviving are three children: Julie Ann (and spouse John) Frye, Claypool; Melanie Jo Robinson and Jacob David Phend, both of Warsaw; a sister, Phyllis (and spouse Leo) Boyer, Winona Lake; two brothers, Carl (and spouse Betty) Nettrouer, Claypool, and Keith (and spouse Cheryl) Nettrouer, Claypool; seven grandchildren: Jason Slusher, Nakia Phend, Morgan George, Lexis George, Rexanne George, Samantha Frye and Danielle Frye; and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Tom Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
