AKRON – Sharon I. Swick, 56, of 205 N. Johnson St., Akron, died at 7:15 a.m. April 12, 2013, in her residence. She was in a battle with cancer for two years.
She was born July 24, 1956, in Peru, to Lamoine and Deema Hall Bowyer, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 8, 1975, in Wabash, she married Terry G. Swick, who survives in Akron.
She was a homemaker and worked in healthcare and  at Chamberlain Products, Akron. She was a 1975 graduate of North Miami High School. She was a member of the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are a daughter, Serena (and spouse David) Smith, Rochester; four grandchildren; a twin sister, Shirley (and spouse William) Galloway, Macy; and four brothers: David Lee Bowyer, Phoenix, Ariz.; Danny Bowyer, Mishawaka; John Bowyer, Chili; and Jimmy (and spouse Brandi) Bowyer, Peru. She was preceded in death by a brother  and a sister.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastors Butch Troke and Carol Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
