Shane E. Blackburn, 44, Warsaw, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Oct. 17, 2016,  in Warsaw. 
He was born Sept. 13, 1972, in South Bend, to Diane Blackburn-Hicks.
He married Brittany Rhoades on June 17, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was a graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse.
He worked for the Kosciusko County Jail as a jailer for 13 years. He also was a reserve officer for six years with the Milford Police Department. 
He attended Warsaw Community Church.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brittany Blackburn; three children: Colette, Colter and Brixen Blackburn; and parents, Chris and Kathy Rhoades, all of Warsaw; his mother, Diane Blackburn–Hicks, Syracuse; three sisters: Michelle (and spouse Chad) Dailing, Milford; Tamara (and spouse Jamison) Tanner, Warsaw; and Chelsey (and spouse Jeff) Parker, Claypool; six grandparents: John Blackburn, Goshen; Pete Avalos, Milford; Rebecca Runnells, Warsaw; Larrie Runnells, Rochester; Sue Rhoades, Warsaw; and Diana Rhoades, Warsaw; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by Norma Avalos, Milford; Don Hicks, Syracuse; Bill Rhoades, Warsaw; Bill and Dorothy Robinson, Milford; and Bernice Toth, Rochester.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Jamy Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
