A Warsaw man was arrested Friday on sexual battery charges. Christopher Aaron Lewis, 28, of 1082 Greene Drive, Warsaw, was arrested at 12:39 p.m. Friday for sexual battery. According to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Officer, on Sept. 25, 2015, Warsaw Police Department officer Ryan Coble responded to a sexual battery call at the Holiday Inn Express, 3825 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Upon arrival, Coble spoke with a female who advised she is an employee of the hotel. She told Coble her co-worker, Lewis, had been texting back and forth with her requesting she be his “friend with benefits.” The victim advised that on Sept. 25, 2015, she was cleaning a room and Lewis came into the room while she was making the bed. Lewis came up behind her and started tickling her stomach, stated “let’s go” and forced her to the floor. Lewis then allegedly stated no one will find out they were alone in the room and began attempting to take off the victim’s pants. Lewis began touching the victim’s breast over her clothing and tried to put his hand down her pants. The victim began fighting him, threatened to kick him in the face and forced Lewis off of her. Lewis then left the room and told her it was all a joke. She then told police Lewis sent her a text message asking if she was scared and purportedly stated he did not do anything. Coble spoke with Lewis who admitted that on Sept. 24, 2015, he grabbed the victim’s behind and she did not call the police then. Lewis stated to Coble multiple times, “It’s her word against mine.” The victim spoke with Warsaw City Police officer Jordan Foreman and advised Lewis had taken her home after work a couple of times, but they were not romantically involved. She advised she was afraid of Lewis during the altercation. The victim also showed Foreman text messages from Lewis on her cellular phone. Foreman spoke with Lewis who admitted he helped the victim make the bed and voluntarily provided the officer with text messages from his phone. One of the messages stated, “Are you scared, LOL.” Lewis admitted to police he had been talking about subjects in a sexual manner with the victim and he enjoys flirting with all the girls. Lewis was booked into the county jail and his bond was set at $5,250.
