TippeRiver Downs, a rental community designed primarily for seniors, will hold an open house Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The rental community is located on 78 acres of hills and wetlands at 2630 Tippe Downs Drive, Warsaw, off of CR 300N near Kohl’s Department Store. The open house will feature free food and beverages; tours of the 24-unit seniors buildings with host Alan Collins, developer and general partner; and a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. “Our mission includes enabling our senior residents to postpone for as long as possible the prohibitive cost of moving to ‘independent living’ or ‘assisted living’ housing,” the open house announcement states. It notes that rent for a one-bedroom, one-bath unit starts at $695 with utilities included.
