Editor, Times-Union: My hat goes off to Deanna Newton for the letter in Monday evening’s paper. You simply hit the nail on the head with what you wrote. I also agree with Pastor Ronnie Patrick that America is in deep trouble. We as a nation have turned so far away from God, I wonder if we are just hanging by a thread in his eyes. I wonder when the Supreme Court makes its ruling on gay marriage, how long it will be before this nation goes from bad to worse to down the tubes. I’m quite sure the Supreme Court will make it pretty much legal in all states. Do people think or believe that the all mighty God that created the heaven's and earth is dead or looking the other way? He sees all and knows all and I can tell you this much, he is the same today as when he first created everything. I just read today that so far Obama has not said anything about the Egyptian president’s power grab and he won’t because he will do the same thing but has not yet because he hasn’t disarmed the people yet. How big of a civil unrest or civil war do you think this will cause here in the states when they try to? Actually would make it easier for him to declare martial law and disarm everyone and seize power all at the same time. You think I’m crazy, that’s fine with me, but if he doesn’t attempt a total control of power and a dictatorship in the next four years it will totally surprise me. Another thing that gets me is how Tebow and other sports figures will bow to say a prayer and be persecuted for it and some even calling for it to be outlawed, but a whole group of Muslims can throw a prayer rug down anywhere in America and pray five times a day and not a word is said. Anyone got a problem with this besides me? Can someone tell me what is wrong with this picture? Your leader in Washington seems to have a hard time sticking up for his America and Israel. If he will not stand for America, God and our allies, can someone please tell me exactly what he does stand for? I’m afraid I probably already know. No, our America is in trouble and we need a Christian revival to sweep through this land like never before. Is it too late? I hope not. We need to put our trust in the Lord now and pray, that's all we can do. Have a nice day and remember this, if you do not know Jesus, today would be a good day to find him, and if you do know Him it would be a good day to get closer to him. 2 Chr.7.14 – “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Lonnie Slone Warsaw, via e-mail
