Martin’s Super Markets will host its 11th “Secret Santa for Seniors” program at all Martin’s locations Friday from noon through 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. and noon through 4 p.m. Sunday. The program makes it possible for community volunteers to deliver Christmas presents to areas seniors who may not otherwise receive a gift this holiday season. Holiday shoppers are encouraged to choose an ornament with the first name of a senior in need and his or her gift requests from a special tree which will be located near the entrance at every Martin’s store. Shoppers can then buy the item or items listed and leave them, along with the ornament attached, at a staffed collection area after they check out. Volunteers will be available to assist with any questions shoppers might have. Last year’s program collected, wrapped and delivered over 11,000 gifts for over 4,000 local seniors.
