Another suspect in an alleged gang rape in a Warsaw hotel parking lot was arrested Friday. Oscar Steven McDowell, 32, Chicago, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Friday and charged with rape. He was held on a $25,000 bond. Another man allegedly involved in the Aug. 10 incident, Charles L. Williams, 20, Waukegan, Ill., was charged Sept. 25 with rape – armed with a deadly weapon. The victim told police that three men approached her vehicle in a Warsaw hotel parking lot, one of whom climbed into the back, pinned her down and raped her. The two others then attempted to force her to perform sexual acts. The woman told police that she screamed, bit and told them to stop but they choked her, and that this continued for 20 to 30 minutes as a crowd watched and laughed. She said the men then got into a vehicle and fled, though a witness took a photo of the vehicle’s license plate. Williams and McDowell were identified from photos taken at the hotel and a concert at the Aloha Bar that the victim had attended earlier that night. The woman was taken to Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Center and officers recorded bruising around her neck, left leg and right arm.
