WINONA LAKE – The Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship will present “A MasterWorks Farewell Concert,” the final Second Sunday Series concert to be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winona Lake.
Marvin C. Perry, principal trumpet of the Indianapolis Symphony, will perform with the Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship “for a very special goodbye to all our many friends in this community,” according to a press release from the Fellowship. The free concert is at 7:30 p.m. April 10.
“A MasterWorks Farewell Concert” will feature music from Beethoven, a medieval dance by Amorosi, Mendelssohn, Chopin and more. The staff at CPAF and guest artists also will feature two popular music ensembles, one folk tune by Jay Unger and one piece from “The Lord of the Rings.” The concert will feature a wide variety of music for the last performance in Winona Lake.
“We want to thank every one of our dear friends in this community that have offered their support to us for so many years. Please join us for a farewell performance. A MasterWorks farewell concert will also be followed with a reception at the Church of the Good Shepherd,” the release states.
The evening will be concluded with singing of praise hymns, followed by a reception.
