WINONA LAKE - The Christian Performing Artists' Fellowship popular Second Sunday Series season finale is scheduled Sunday with a Mother's Day tea.
"Voyage on the Elddir Sea" is an original musical and dramatic production. Sunday's performance will be in Rodeheaver Auditorium at 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
The second performance is Monday at 1 p.m., also in Rodeheaver Auditorium. School children from the Warsaw-Winona Lake area will attend.
The creators of the story hope to teach children the building blocks of music through audience participation and live musical demonstrations. Aspects of melody, rhythm, tempo and dynamics will be explored as the story of a young girl from an unfortunately boring kingdom unfolds.
The tale chronicles the journey of a young heroine as she ventures into the unknown mysteries of the Elddir Sea. The rather monotonous King Suonotonom of the Land of Luftnevenu has sent a very clever little girl called Revelc to find a cure for the kingdom's plague of boredom. After a tumultuous beginning, she and her friends came across the most magical islands of the Elddir Sea.
There they are given the gift of music by the island people and are able to present to their king a cure that will save the kingdom.
Reservations are available by calling 267-5973. Attendance is free.
