Editor, Times-Union: Has been a long time since writing, but thought now would be a good time to write about a subject close to my heart and should be to yours also. This letter has to do with the second coming of Christ to take his bride (the church) home to be with him and our Father in Heaven. If you read the Bible you will find about a hundred or more verses that talk about or related to this event. That’s a lot, so I am sure it’s going to happen. But I also think it’s a event that could come at any time for I believe the stage is set in the Middle East for it. You can read in the Bible from the book of Daniel to Revelation of how this stage will be set and you can clearly see that some of it has already been laid out and the direction that the Middle East is headed that it will all come together. Sooner I believe than later. We have natural disasters that have intensified in strength over the years and signs and wonders in the moon and stars, read Luke 21:25. Now some may laugh at this and say we have had natural disasters since the beginning of time. True, but do you know God is patient with us and so desires that all of us should be saved and not perish? (John 10:28) My thoughts on ISIS is simply that Satan is drawing his force of evil to do battle with the saints of God. Think about it: Why on earth would young girls, women, men of the U.S and all over the world be going to Syria to join up with them? Something has deceived them and that something is Satan. Satan is deceiving many, many people today simply by false doctrine. If you’re going someplace and they’re not preaching the Gospel according to the word of God, get out of there ... fast. (Read 2 Timothy 4:2,4 ). Now if you need a church to go to this coming Sunday or have questions, contact me through Facebook. I would be glad to help you if I can, and if I can’t I will point you toward someone who can. I invite all to come out this Sunday to First Freewill Baptist, corner of CR 700S and County Farm Road for our 10 a.m. service and there will be a dinner right after. So if you’re searching and know this world can’t go on like it is, please come out and see us. Would be glad to have you. God Bless. Lonnie Slone Warsaw, via email
