Seasons To Evolve With Needs Of CommunitySeasons HomeCare recently opened its doors and hosted an open house for the public Thursday. Located at 1101 Husky Trail in Warsaw, it is the home location for owner Curt Hermann. The in-home care started about four years ago in Warsaw and the Fort Wayne has been added as a satellite as an office two years ago. Now the adult day center. is opening The purpose of Seasons HomeCare is to both provide assistance to senior citizens so they can stay in their home while also providing a day center for seniors to interact with others. The Day center is geared to give seniors both mental and physical stimulation. The center, a 1,750 square foot ranch style-home, has a full kitchen, common area with television as well as an office area. The center is located on an expansive piece of land located directly across from Martin's Super Market that will allow for many outdoor activities. While at the Day Center, seniors can play cards, bingo and board games but also play indoor putt-putt, balloon volleyball as well as what Seasons calls "Wii-hab" using the Nintendo Wii system to provide some exercise. Special events will includes pet visits, bible study, crafts, baking classes and carry-in from locations of the guests choice. Hermann said that his business is dedicated to easing the burdens of everyday life for his clients and allowing them to stay in their homes. Housecleaning, laundry and meal preparation are also a service provided by Seasons. Personal care like helping clients get dressed and bath is also a feature. Hermann said he is working to provide transportation to those wishing to visit the Day Center. Transportation will even be made available to those who aren't able to move on their own. It will also provide transportation to doctors visits, salon visits and prescription pick-up. Short-term assistance for those recovering from illness or surgery is also available. For Hermann, this business is what he calls his "true calling in life". After attending high school near Fort Wayne, Hermann attended Purdue then got his MBA from Indiana University. After several stops around the United States, Hermann along with his wife Lylian, decided they wanted to be closer to his family and raise their own in North Central Indiana. Jobs with the Orthopedic industry brought the Hermanns to Warsaw. Hermann said after several years he felt he was done with the grind of what he was doing and needed to move on to something else. "I truly feel like this is my purpose in life," said Hermann. "This is God's plan for me." Hermann said he felt there was a need for Seasons HomeCare prescience in the area and will work to evolve with the needs of the community. After purchasing the building in Warsaw two years ago, Hermann has now got his second location off the ground. Along with Hermann, Laura Laborde serves as the Day Center manager, Kristen Mendenhall is the office manager, Courtney Robinson will work with client/caregiver relations and Dawn Schuller serves as the marketing manager working out of the Fort Wayne location. Seasons works to provide care and accepts payments through CHOICE, SSBG, insurance plans, veteran's administration, independent case managers, Medicaid waivers, family caregiver programs and private pay.
