Emergency personnel responded around 4:45 a.m. today to a trailer fire in the Patona Bay Marina and Resort on EMS T33 Lane, Leesburg. According to Leesburg Fire Chief Michael Wilson, the blaze started inside a seasonal trailer owned by a family from Portage, though the names of the owners are unknown. The trailer was a total loss and there was heat damage to neighboring trailers. The blaze was contained within 10 minutes and damage is estimated at around $10,000. Leesburg Fire Department was assisted by Multi-Township EMS and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, who is continuing the investigation. The trailer was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
