Back by popular demand, Lakeland Art Association is again sponsoring a one-day workshop, Journey into Stone, by renowned award-winning stone sculptor Wayne Harshberger of Goshen. Harshberger is also a stone mason and commissioned sculptor whose pieces are in collections throughout the world. The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Lakeland Art Gallery, 107 N. First St., Pierceton. Participants will learn the process of carving in order to finish a small alabaster piece.Individuals interested in participating in this workshop are encouraged to call Lakeland Art Association at 574-594-9950 to make a reservation. Space is limited. Cost for the workshop is $65 and includes all materials and use of tools. Workshop participants are asked to bring a sack lunch.
