Scouts Get A Look At Farming Stephanie Naundorf, a Scout Leader in Troop 715, set up a visit to Tom’s Farms near Leesburg. Three area Troops attended – Troops 715, 782 and 730G. Merit badges studied at Tom’s Farms were plant science and farm mechanics. Sixteen Scouts and seven adult leaders attended. The girls of Troop of 730G set up camp at 9 a.m. that day at Scoutmaster Dick McCleary’s Scout Camp. After attending the merit badge sessions at Tom’s Farms, they returned to camp. There the Scouts cooked their own meals, played some games and spent the very chilly night in tents. Sunday morning, they fixed breakfast over their campfire before breaking camp and returning home.
