Scouting units in Kosciusko County participated in the annual Scouting For Food conducted each March by the Lincolnway District of the Anthony Wayne Council, Boy Scouts Of America.
Crew 2715, Troop 715, Troop 729 and Pack 3729 collected more than 1,500 items for the pantry of The Salvation Army, according to Ken Locke, community ministries director.
"We greatly appreciate the Scouts' support each year in collecting items for our pantry. Our supplies were getting a little low so it came at a great time," Locke said. The pantry serves more than 100 families per month with both food and non-food items.
