Scouts and Robots

Troop 715 and guests went to Edgewood Middle School where science teacher Ben Barkey led the Scouts in building a five-minute robot.
They programmed the robot to go back and forward then in circles.
Over a two-night class session they were able to get the robots to do what they had programmed them to do and then held a competition.
In the competition Josh Ramey’s car finished in first with Cameron Ingle’s car, coming in with a very close second.
After the Robotics Merit Badge was finished, the group celebrated with Barkey, making Oreo ice cream using nitrogen as the freezing agent.
