SYRACUSE – The Lincolnway District Boy Scout Fall Camporee was held recently at the Syracuse woods and was hosted by Troop 828.

Warsaw Troop 715’s Boy Scout members Will Bibler, Nick Hawn, Dyllan Hernandez, Dillon King, Kole Smith and Adam Zawadzkas attended the event.

Their patrol took first place in five events: the orienteering course, tying the giant square knot, setting up a tent blind folded, the obstacle course and the “In it to Succeed Challenge.”

They also took second place in fire building and stake driving.

This all accumulated in the patrol winning the Best Overall – District’s Traveling Trophy.

The troop’s adult leaders named Kole Smith as the Most Valuable Player for being the catalyst behind the patrol’s achievements.

Troop 715 adult leaders attending were David King, Bill Bibler and Joe Hawn.  The troop was fortunate enough to share a campsite with Cub Scout Pack 3715 of Jefferson School.
