NASHVILLE, Ind. - Scott Eric Creighton, 39, of Nashville, Ind., died Feb. 28, 2011, in his father's residence in Nashville.
He was born to Robert and Marjorie Creighton.
He grew up near Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1990. He attended Ball State University as well as Caen University in France. He lived, schooled and worked two years each in France and Brazil, South America. He was fluent in French and Portuguese and taught English in Brazil. He toured much of the U.S., Europe and Central America and hiked extensively, staying in youth hostels along the way and enjoyed meeting new people. He was very interested in world geography, history and world politics and enjoyed talking to those who shared his interests.
Surviving are his father, Robert Creighton, Nashville; two brothers, Todd Creighton, Nashville, and Brian Creighton, Indianapolis; a sister, Dana Baker, Durham, N.C.; and a niece, Kendall Baker, Durham. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Creighton.
A private service will be at a later date.
Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 Ind. 135N, Nashville, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.
