The Magical Meadows announced a donation from Scott and Cindy Silveus in support of the Growing with Heart Capital Campaign and Expansion Project.
Their gift brings the campaign total to $1.98 million raised, placing the organization just $120,000 away from its $2.1 million construction budget goal, according to a news release from The Magical Meadows.
This milestone comes as progress continues on the Growing with Heart Expansion Project. Construction on the first building, a dedicated therapeutic riding and equine-assisted learning facility, is on track for completion by the end of April. Meanwhile, site work has officially begun on the second building, designed specifically for veterans and first responders participating in the Warriors Mount Up program. This 24/7 facility is expected to be completed and open for use by July.
Together, these two buildings will expand The Magical Meadows’ capacity, enhance year-round programming and allow the organization to serve more individuals, families, veterans and first responders across the region.
The Silveus family’s support has played a major role in advancing the project, the release states. Earlier this year, Scott’s brother, Cameron Silveus and his wife Shannon, also made a donation.
“We are incredibly grateful to Scott and Cindy for their generosity and belief in our mission,” said Michael Kuhn, executive director at The Magical Meadows. “Their gift comes at an exciting time as we see real, tangible progress happening on-site. With one building nearing completion and the second now underway, we are watching this vision become a reality. Support from Scott and Cindy is helping us accelerate this momentum and bring expanded opportunities to the individuals and families we serve.”
“It was such a pleasure to meet the folks at Magical Meadows and learn more about their mission and vision,” said Scott Silveus. “We believe it is really important to support this cause especially right now with so much expansion going on. This project is going to drastically expand their service numbers, especially for veterans and first-responders. What a wonderful cause to support. We’re super excited to see what the future holds.”
As The Magical Meadows works to close out its campaign, potential donors are encouraged to contact Michael Kuhn at michael@themagicalmeadows.org or 574-377-1946 to set up a time to tour the facilities and discuss giving options.
