School registration begins within the next two weeks for most area schools, while some school districts have opened registration already online.
Students’ first day of school at Warsaw Community School Corp. is Aug. 15, while Wawasee School’s first day is Aug. 16. Tippecanoe Valley’s first student day of the 2011-12 school year is Aug. 19, and Triton starts Aug. 16. Manchester Community Schools starts Aug. 19, with Whitko starting Aug. 17.
Warsaw and Wawasee community school corporations both have made registration available online. Warsaw’s website is at www.warsaw.k12.in.us, while Wawasee’s is at www.wawasee.k12.in.us
If a person prefers to register their child in person at a Warsaw school, dates and times are Monday, noon to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Wednesday, noon to 6 p.m, at each school location.
Registration for new students will take place at Milford School, North Webster Elementary and Syracuse School Aug. 4 and Aug. 8 from noon to 7 p.m. At Wawasee Middle School and High School, registration will take place Aug. 8-9 from noon to 7 p.m. A computer lab will be open during the school’s registration times for parents who need computer access to register their students.
Both Warsaw and Wawasee schools allow parents to pay textbook rental and fees, along with school lunch payments, online.
For Tippecanoe Valley School Corp., registration will be held at each school from noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 3-4. At Tippecanoe Valley High School, students entering grades 11 and 12 are asked to register Wednesday. Students entering grades 9 and 10 are asked to register Aug. 4.
High school students new to the district are to contact the high school office at 574-353-7031, Ext. 2420, beginning Wednesday, to schedule an appointment. Appointments will be made Aug. 15-17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Registration days for elementary and high schools in the Triton school district are Aug. 10-11.
On Aug. 10, registration for the elementary is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., then 6 to 8 p.m. Registration for the junior-senior high school is 8 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
On Aug. 11, registration for Triton Elementary is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration for the junior-senior high school from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
Manchester Community Schools has a centralized registration. All students are to be registered at Manchester Junior-Senior High School.
Registration is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 8, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 9.

At Whitko, each school has a separate date and time for registration.
South Whitley Elementary School has registration Aug. 5, noon to 7 p.m., and Aug. 8, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Whitko High School registration is Aug. 8-12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
New students at Whitko Middle School can register any day beginning Monday.
Registration for Pierceton Elementary School is Aug. 8, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Aug. 9, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
