Sarah's sMILES Sets Fundraiser Tuesday

Posted
Sarah Stump, 4, was born with Mitochondrial Disease.
In Sarah’s honor, her mother, Mindy Stump, created a fundraising group to raise money for the incurable disease.
Since Sarah’s diagnosis in 2011, the group, Sarah’s sMILES, has raised nearly $5,000 for the leading research organization through a variety of events.
On Tuesday, it is doing another fundraiser for the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
At 7 p.m., Sarah’s sMILES will take on the Willie 103.5 Hoopsters. The game is at New Life Christian Church.
The entire building was rented so while the adults cheer on the basketball game, kids can play in Joy Jungle, the indoor play land.
Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family, and is a tax-deductible donation to the UMDF.
There will be concessions available, including $1 hot dogs, and T-shirts for sale. There also will be some prizes for raffle.
The goal is to raise $2,00 for the UMDF.
