BOURBON – Sarah J. Sechrist, 90, of rural Etna Green, died peacefully June 7, 2012, in her residence.
She was born April 29, 1922, in Kosciusko County, to Sherman and Gertie Harmon Gerard. On Jan. 31, 1942, in Atwood, she married Russel Junior Sechrist, who died May 19, 2000.
She was a homemaker, a member of Millwood Chapel and a graduate of Atwood High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol (and spouse Stanley) Bules, Bourbon; a son, Dennis (and spouse Becky) Sechrist, Bremen; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a sister and two brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, Etna Green.
