Sara "Sally" Walker Eschbach, 85, passed from earth July 30, 2008.
She was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Greenfield, to John and Naomi Tapscott Walker. On March 15, 1947, in Indianapolis, she married Jesse E. Eschbach.
She graduated from Shortridge High School, Indianapolis, and Indiana University with a major in economics. She pledged Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Living in Warsaw from 1949-76, she was active in the First Presbyterian Church, served as a library board member and worked with several community and charity groups, including Easter Seal Campaigns, Mothers Study Club, PTA and Tri Kappa. Moving to Fort Wayne in 1976, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne, and Fort Wayne Country Club.
Surviving are two children, Jesse E. Eschbach III, Denton, Texas, and Virginia Eschbach, Seattle, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
