While the weather may not be predictable, Kosciusko County residents have learned to count on the Breakfast Optimist Club having Santa’s House in Warsaw every December. Wednesday afternoon, Optimist members delivered Santa’s House to the courthouse square downtown. This is the second year that Santa’s House will remain at the courthouse instead of moving to Kmart where it traditionally was placed. Santa will start accepting visitors during First Friday at the courthouse from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Saturday, the house will be open from 3 to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Hours on Dec. 13 are 6 to 8 p.m.; Dec. 14, 3 to 6 p.m.; and Dec. 15, 1 to 4 p.m. For the last weekend, hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 20; 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 21; and 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 22. The Octagon Club, a high school group sponsored by the Optimist Club, will assist. The students will serve as Santa’s helpers. The Breakfast Optimist Club serves the youth of the community. Nearly 90 members get together every Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast and a meeting.
