Dr. and Mrs. Brent Sandy will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary June 26, 2011.
Brent and the former Cheryl Ackerly met while he was in graduate school in Binghamton, N.Y., and were married on June 26, 1971, with their fathers officiating.
Brent taught at Grace College for 20 years and will be visiting graduate professor of New Testament at Wheaton Colleg, Illinois, for the 2011-12 school year.
Cheryl has taught private piano lessons for 30 years.
The couple have two sons, Jason (and spouse Rose), London, England, and Jaron (and spouse Laëtitia), Dijon, France; and five grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with a trip to London and Spain, where the family will gather at a villa on the Mediterranean.
