Monica M. Sands and Andrew J. Kitrush were married Aug. 30, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, with Father Jim Shafer officiating. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Sharon Sands, South Whitley; the groom's parents are David and Lori Kitrush, Fort Wayne.
Matron of honor was Melissa Gibson, San Diego, Calif. Bridesmaids were Kyla Cook, Fishers; Carrie Monroe, Hartford City; and Shana King, Dayton Ohio.
Best man was Nathaniel Kitrush, College, Pa. Groomsmen were Rob Ackley, Roanoke; Steve Keller, Rome City; and Scott Gurney, Chicago, Ill. Usher was Jeffry Gibson, San Diego, Calif.
A reception was held at The Lantern, Fort Wayne.
The bride is a photography coordinator at Shindigz by Stumps, South Whitley. She is a 2006 graduate of Whitko High School, South Whitley, and attended Ball State University.
The groom is employed at Artek, Fort Wayne. He is a 1999 graduate of Northrop High School, Fort Wayne, and currently attends Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.
The couple plans a wedding trip to the Bahamas in the spring. They reside in Fort Wayne.
