Sandra “Sandy” Ellis, 62, Warsaw, passed away at 4:49 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, in her residence.

She was born January 22, 1956, in Ellijay, Ga., to Ted and Sarah Chastain Carringer.

She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County. On April 7, 1984, she was united in marriage to Jim Ellis in Warsaw.

During her life, she worked at Little Crow Foods as a quality control specialist; she previously worked for the USDA as well.

She attended Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. In addition, she was an extremely compassionate person, liked to paint, and loved her family and friends with loyalty.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Ellis, Warsaw; daughter, Lavonda Davis, Corbin, Ky.; brother, Gary Carringer, Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Kevin and Brandan Davis, Corbin; sisters-in-law: Charlene Johnson, Warsaw, and Jennifer Ellis, Fishers; as well as her mother-in-law, Donna Ellis, Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Sarah Carringer; son, Justin Ellis; and sisters, Susan and Mellisa Carringer.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Friends and family will speak at the service. Interment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
