Sandra R. Redington, 87, Warsaw, passed away at 3:09 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She was born Nov. 8, 1930, to Jesse E. and Ruth R. Cook Rice in Warsaw.
She was a 1949 graduate of Warsaw High School.
Sandra was united in marriage on Aug. 15, 1957, to Richard Tyler Redington in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She worked for Cardinal Services, Sun Metal Products and many other businesses in the accounts receivable and payable departments.
She enjoyed living in the lake area and visiting with her friends and former classmates.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Christine (Jim) Mowrey, Pierceton; a son, Ray (Cathy Garrison) Redington, Warsaw; grandchildren: Danielle Mowrey, Seth (Meghan) Mowrey, Taylor (Westin) Becker, Ryan (Natalie) Garrison and Ean (Jessica) Redington; great-grandchildren, Hally and Phoenix Garrison and Levi and Lily Redington; and a great friend of the family, Brian Bibler.
She was preceded by her parents, husband and a brother, James L. Rice.
Sandra was a person who used her wonderful sense of humor and her creative use of the English language to lighten the mood when things weren’t so pleasant!
There will be a private family gathering and interment at a later date.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
