SYRACUSE - Sandra Lou Horton, 57, of Lugoff, S.C., and formerly of Syracuse, died Feb. 13, 2009.
She was born April 30, 1951, in Goshen, to Paul Alden and Birda Rhudell Dennison Yeager. She married Thomas Roger Horton, who survives.
She graduated in 1969 from Wawasee High School, Syracuse. She received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a master's degree in education from the University of South Carolina. She taught special education in the Kershaw County School District.
Also surviving are a daughter, Katy Horton, Lugoff; a son, Thomas R. Jr. (and spouse Katherine) Horton, Simpsonville, S.C.; four grandchildren; her mother, Rhudy Yeager, Goshen; a sister, Suzanne (and spouse James) Pachynski, Syracuse; and a brother, Timothy Yeager, Syracuse. Her father died Feb. 15, 2009.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Meetinghouse Room in Greencroft Healthcare Center North, Goshen, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
