Sandra Jean “Sandi” Martin, 58, Warsaw, passed away at 9:25 p.m. May 16, 2016, in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw. She was born May 2, 1958, in Lapeer, Mich., to Gordon Wayne and Beverly Spencer Laidler. She is a 1976 graduate of Lapeer East High School. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, watching scary movies and scrapbooking. Surviving are a daughter, Melissa Chase-Ellers (and spouse Nicholas Ellers), Etna Green; five granddaughters: Breanna Fessenden, Tarynn Chase-Peterson, Annyka Ellsers and Savannah Ellers, all of Etna Green; Rachel Fessenden, Russiaville; a great-granddaughter, Bella; a sister, Julia Laidler, Trenton, Fla.; a brother, Wayne, Laidler, Davison, Mich.; a nice, Samantha Laidler, Davison, Mich.; and three nephews: Levi Sprague, Trenton, Fla.; Garrett Laidler and Jagger Laidler, both of Davison, Mich. She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Chase; his parents, Gordon Wayne and Beverly Laidler; and former husband and life partner, Butch Martin. Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Dave Hummel, Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
