Editor, Times-Union: It will soon be time to prepare for the Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child shoe box gift project last year (November 2014). The Amazing Grace Community Church, Sidney, prepared, boxed, wrapped and paid the cost of shipping 101 gift shoe boxes to children all over the world. For some, this is the first gift her or she has ever recevied. The National Collection Week is Nov. 16 through 23. Perhaps your church would like to participate in this very worthy cause. The cost for shipping is $7 per box. With the help of our pastor’s wife our congregation was able to raise the amount needed for shipping. The churches in the area should have the information for drop-off locations. It’s a blessing to be part of this charitable cause. Pat Caudill Silver Lake
